It's niiice to be back in Orlando. Tonight my mom larry and i went to winter park for larry's birthday dinner. Yeah, i defintely plan on settling down there haha. It's beautiful! Take savannah's old grandness with it's oak trees and willows and old buildings and charm cross bred with west palm's hipness and upscale stores and there you have winter park. and i love it. we went to this restaurant that was all modern yet really comfortable and had a jazz band playing. and it made me really happy because i'm so picky when it comes to my live music and they satisfied me perfectly. We chilled at the bar first where my mom got me a glass of wine and i almost gave away that i'm not twenty one haha, but i don't the bar tender would've gave a damn either way- he liked me, as all the straight ones do. When it was time to eat we were moved to the back where it was a little quieter but still really cool decor...kinda cold which i usually hate in homes but for restaurants like...don't ask! The waitress was great, she turned out to be an alumni from ucf and we talked about it- "so your a freshman?" looks at my glass of wine, and waves her hand in a whatever motion laughing. nice to know i can pass for someone older though haha. For dessert it was back to the front lounge area where the band was still playing away. This black lady got up and performed and was vivacious and all and when she realized it was larry's birthday (they brought him dessert with a candle in it and we were right in front) she did a marilyn monroesque happy birthday song for him, it was great! and the actual singer of the band was nice too, which i love because sometimes they can be arrogant or stand offish and then i get mad. this one though shook my hand as i was leaving telling me they perform every saturday etc. i don't think it's ever happened where all three of us have a fantastic experience like that dining out literally from beginning to end. and i love moments like that, i pretty much live for them. back in my dorm the suitemates and roomie were out and my friends were in bed or not available so i took advantage of that time to straighten things up and put my bed together haha. I tried sleeping, didn't work though. My thoughts don't like to stop when i'm tired so they keep going and going and i just gave up trying. Hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to chill with my former roommate lauren since tonight i missed out. i'm upset that i don't have a fridge...my roommate's is the same size as the one i had over the summer. we couldn't bring mine since there wasn't room in the car so she said she would share with me. however her's is pretty full with stuff already. so that sucks, what am i supposed to do for cold water? i guess i could just buy one from the vending machine when i'm thirsty. another issue though is that since hers is the same size as mine and the set up isn't as great as the one lauren and i had in the room as far as desk arrangements go it'll be tricky. bite me. actually that's one of the things i was thinking about in bed, i kept rearranging my room in my head trying to figure it out, but only so many rearrangements can realistically be made. will came by earlier in the afternoon and helped me with some computer issues (hey he was around so why not put him to use). it was cool to see him. i guess i'll try sleeping again, i plan on waking up at eight thirty tomorow for break fast with the parents and target shopping. and then it's bye bye mommy and larry til november! although i'm sure i'll be able to hitch a ride back to boca before hand, so who knows we shall seeeee....
